The NYPS-PTA was first initiated in 1987, and formally registered as a society in 1993.

The NYPS PTA was established in1987 and has been an integral part in developing and promoting better relations, understanding and cooperation between the parents and teachers through school-based activities and interactions. As the Covid-19 pandemic transforms the school environment, it is more important than ever for parents to play an active role by giving feedback to the School, keeping abreast of developments and policies, and contributing to programs for the children.

Our parent volunteers also share and contribute their expertise and resources to enrich the student experience. PTA membership fees are used to organise activities while making school life much more memorable and enjoyable.

To develop and promote better relations, understanding and cooperation between the parents and teachers through social activities and interactions.

To provide opportunities for parents to volunteer, share or contribute their services, knowledge, expertise or time to the School for the benefit of the pupils.

To assist, support and give donations to the School financially or otherwise for the development, improvement or activities of the School for the benefit of the pupils.

To organise seminars, workshops, lectures, meetings, exhibitions or other activities for the benefit of its Members and/or Pupils.

To provide opportunities for Parents to network and support one another.
